Purpose of the Level 2 Program:
- To support Level 1 Professional Ski Instructors with next steps, new ideas, concepts and practical tools to increase versatility in their practice.
- To evolve versatility and adaptability in a variety of teaching and terrain situations.
- To further technical understanding and enhance skiing and teaching skills up to and including moderate, off piste conditions.
- Adventure Builder - Increasing versatility and adaptability in building Fun, Safe, Learning adventures in a broader range of teaching situations
- Technical concepts - assessment and development of skiing
- Skier progression - practical steps for consolidating parallel skiing
- Risk Mitigation - psychological and physical safety considerations
- Ski improvement - skill development
Duration:
- ELearning Component - Approximately 1.5 hours to complete at home, at your own pace prior to the on snow component
- On Snow Skiing Training is three days, approximately 4.5 - 5 hours per day
- On Snow Teaching Training is three days, approximately 4.5 - 5 hours per day
Program Summary - Level 2 Skiing
- The three days focus on development of your skiing skills as well as your understanding of how to assess and develop skiing skills up to and including blue groomed terrain and moderate off piste and varied terrain. Evaluation is provided through an ongoing assessment throughout the course. There is no single, summative, final exam.

- The three days includes development of teaching skills, teaching practice and insight into important components of lesson structure and approach to building Adventures out there on the hill.
